I have a Mi Band 4. For setup I used the Mi Fit app. I restricted Mi Fit from all mobile data and WiFi access and most other permissions. Then I installed Notify. It was not possible to uninstall Mi Fit due to a hardware restriction. Mi has some encryption tech that makes it impossible to use a third party app independently.
